The Liberation Party of Bulgaria (TLPB) was a heavily armed terrorist group that was active during the Bulgarian terrorist crisis of 2011. Their leader was Terje Chayyim — a Bulgarian-Sierra Leonean national. The group was wiped out in 2014 by NATO's «Operation Sovereignty».
They were mostly armed with Western and Middle Eastern weapons and vehicles. Most of the captured weapons had no identification markings on them, preventing proper investigation of their origin. The U.S. claimed that these weapons were supplied to the terrorists by Russia and Iran. Both parties have vehemently denied any involvement in the crisis. The United Nations has found no evidence linking these weapons to these countries.
Most members of the group came from Europe. Some were recruited from other countries and overseas. The group used an extensive online propaganda campaign to recruit these new members.
