The United Nations (UN) was a diplomatic and political international organization on Prime Earth, with the intended purpose of maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international cooperation, and serving as a center for coordinating the actions of member nations. It was widely recognised as the world's largest international organization. The UN was headquartered in New York City, in international territory with certain privileges extraterritorial to the United States. The UN also had other offices in Geneva, Nairobi, Vienna, and The Hague, where the International Court of Justice was headquartered at the Peace Palace.
Interventions in the IMFP
- SIW spillover in Skiros (WF) — the organization intervened at the beginning of the conflict, capturing some LSMD and Group C17 operatives. These operatives were later freed and the organization left the island. They later returned to provide humanitarian aid to civilians after the conflict, but were prevented from doing so by V Corporation and the newly founded People's Republic of Skiros.
- Bernask armed crisis (WF) — the organization intervened in the conflict after DLG PMC destroyed the city in a nuclear detonation. Immediately after confirming the fact that the missile belonged to the company, the UN and many other countries declared the organization a terrorist group. The UN also sent a large humanitarian package to the outlying and affected regions.
Omnipotent interference
Some officials within the United Nations reported that two different Secretary-Generals (Ban Ki-moon and António Guterres) were in contact with an unknown man during some of the conflicts of the independent militarized factions period of Earth. It is suspected that this unknown man was a «representative» of the Omnipotents.
There is little information about the substance of their dialogue, but some speculate that the unknown man told the Secretary-Generals not to intervene in some of the conflicts (such as the First Intergroup War or the Second Intergroup War).
