The independent militarized factions period of Earth (commonly abbreviated as the IMFP) is a term for the period between the establishment of Northway Faction on December 26, 2017, and the Great Teleportation Incident of May 17, 2022. It was first used by Antonio Guterres of the United Nations in a press release after the conclusion of the Bernask armed crisis.
An «independent militarized faction» was defined by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2554:
- Complete independence from any state actors
- Full or partial militarization of internal or public security forces
- Organization is motivated by personal ideologies/religion of its leadership
- Funding comes from private sources or from sources other than the government
- Unexplained rapid growth of financial and physical assets
- Possessing the ability to disrupt governmental activities with little consequence
- Possession of illegal nuclear weaponry

Aftermath
After the Great Teleportation Incident of May 17, 2022, the United Nations immediately started drafting a resolution preventing any future similar incidents from ever taking place on Earth. On May 24, 2022, the UN unanimously signed the S/RES/2631 resolution.
The consequences of the independent militarized factions period of Earth were devastating to most of the world's economies. It is believed that approximately 6 million people were killed as a result of this period. The majority of these deaths have been among the military personnel of the organizations. Some of these casualties were even caused by nuclear warfare, such as the deadly conclusion of the Bernask armed crisis.
