Terje Andonov Chayyim (a. January 3, 1983 — June 2, 2014) was the leader of The Liberation Party of Bulgaria — a terrorist group that was the instigator of the Bulgarian terrorist crisis of 2011. Before the crisis, he was a drug dealer in Sierra Leone, from where he fled in 2002 for unknown reasons.

Biography

It is presumed that he was born on January 3, 1983, in the city of Koidu, Sierra Leone. He was born to a Kenyan mother and a Russian-Mexican father. In 1986 they moved to Freetown to avoid local gangs.

In 1995 he lost his father due to a robbery gone wrong. In 1998, he was arrested at his school on a minor drug charge. While in juvenile detention, he was sentenced to 4 years in prison for the murder of his cellmate. After serving his sentence, he continued to deal drugs.

In 2002, he quickly fled the country with the money he earned from his crimes. He flew to Bulgaria and immediately applied for citizenship. His criminal record made the process extremely difficult, but he allegedly bribed some officials to expedite the process. He received a Bulgarian citizenship in 2008.

Bulgarian terrorist crisis

Until 2011 he lived in Sofia, working as a car mechanic. It is believed that during this time he was recruiting people for his terrorist group.

On November 12, 2011, he and other TLPB terrorists organized the takeover of the Bulgarian government in the Largo building. After taking government officials and the president hostage, he made a broadcasted statement calling for the creation of a new state and secession from NATO and the European Union. After that, he made no further public appearances.

He led the terrorist group until his death. There were two attempts by Sovereignty forces to assassinate him, but they were thwarted by his security forces.

Death

On June 2, 2011, he was killed during the siege of Largo building by Sovereignty and resistance forces.

Illegal photo of Chayyim's body taken by Seth Royce, Hudson Crawford, and an unnamed Academi contractor.

A group of Academi contractors, led by Seth Royce and Hudson Crawford, took illegal photos with his corpse. These photos were never published.

After his death, his body was taken to an undisclosed cemetery in Bulgaria and buried under a false identity.

Bulgarian crisis contact

A number of captured terrorists after the crisis reported seeing him talking to an unknown man during two different high-stakes battles. This man matched the description of the unknown man that was contacting many other participants of the conflict.
