On January 26, 2019, NV RS-Special Task Force attacked Boreas' VC-3 Facility, causing massive casualties and the total destruction of the facility. The unit's objective was to steal valuable research from the facility. The facility specialized in anomalous and highly dangerous research, and due to the carelessness of the attackers, some anomalies breached containment, resulting in mass casualties among NVRS-STF forces and site personnel. Volkov considered the operation a great failure.
The facility was later destroyed by Boreas to prevent further damage. Anomalies contained within the facility were also destroyed.
